These systems are heavier and less forgiving than a standard door. Here is what we manage at each stage.
Rough-Opening Review
We confirm the rough opening is square, sized correctly, and structurally ready for the panel weight of the system going in.
Threshold Planning
Threshold height and drainage are planned before installation, since lift-and-slide systems depend on a level, properly sloped threshold to seal correctly.
Flashing
Flashing is installed at the header, jambs, and sill to direct water away from the structure before the door goes in.
Waterproofing
We manage the full weatherproofing sequence around the opening, not just sealant at the visible edges.
Panel Alignment
Heavy panels are set and aligned to the track with precision — even small misalignment causes drag, gaps, or premature wear.
Roller & Track Adjustment
Rollers and the track system are adjusted so the panel lifts, slides, and seats smoothly under its full weight.
Hardware Setup
Locking hardware, handles, and multi-point locks are installed and adjusted for secure, reliable operation.
Final Operation Testing
We test full operation repeatedly before calling the job complete, checking smoothness, seal, and lock engagement.
